Harvest 2010

As harvest fast approaches, the vineyard almost seems to expectantly bloom in anticiaption of the year's potential yield.  After a long hot spell, the grapes are looking excellent.  It's at this point that the Vineyard Manager is looking forward to an Indian summer in September to maximise the quality.

Harvest is, of course, the most important time of year for the vineyard and Denbies holds many events to celebrate, including the popular Vine & Dine grape picking experience which runs throughout October.  Details www.denbies.co.uk

Good write up in The Independent last weekend, detailing the challenges facing English wine makers together with success stories.
