Denbies Harvest 2010
Harvest commenced on Monday 4 October. The good news is that following the late June frost, volumes are higher than originally predicted. Picking commenced with Ortega and a small batch of Bacchus to date. Feedback from the winery is very positive reporting a good year for varietals. The grapes have an excellent balance of acid, sugar and flavour, this is going to be an outstanding year for aromatic wines.
Denbies vine and dine grape picking experience starts tomorrow and if the weather continues to be fine, it will be a rare treat for the participants. The past few years have been extremely wet but still good fun nonetheless. There are still a few places available for vine and dine. For details email: events@denbiesvineyard.co.uk
