2010 Harvest comes to an end

Picking continues until tomorrow (Thursday) and then the 2010 harvest will come to an end.  This has been an incredibly exciting year, the yields have been higher than originally predicted and with the combination of exceptionally high sugar and low acid levels, we can confirm that this will be an outstanding vintage.

Lego exhibition up date

The Lego exhibition continues until Friday afternoon.  With daily competitions, including ‘Spot the Lego difference’, ‘Find the Minifig’ and ‘Guess the number of bricks’! – there has been much to keep visitors entertained.  The exhibits have increased in number over the week with two guest Lego experts building on the spot.  My favourite is definately the [...]

Picking of the schonburger is scheduled to commence later on today.  The weather is set to brighten towards the latter part of the week which will be most welcome (almost forgotten what this wet stuff was like!).

Vintage year prediction

It is looking very likely from the initial feedback from the first few days of harvest that 2009 is very likely to be a vintage year, possibly comparable to that of 2003.  This is really exciting news, this year has been very temperate in climate with no extremes.

Lego exhibition confirmed

Denbies are delighted to confirm that the Half Term Lego exhibition has now been confirmed.  It will run from Monday 26 – Friday 30 from 11am – 4pm daily.  Admission is free, local Lego enthusiasts and artists will be displaying selected pieces, including a life size Star Wars character, skeleton and James May mosaic!  If [...]
