International Wine Challenge Winners 2006

This May, Denbies Wine Estate achieved its best showing ever in the International Wine Challenge, which attracts over nine thousand entries from around the world.

Seven of the Denbies range of 11 wines won awards in the International Wine Challenge 2006. Denbies champagne-method Greenfields Sparkling Cuvee 2003 won a Silver Medal, of which all at the Dorking wine estate are immensely proud. Bronze medals were awarded to Bacchus 2004 and Hillside Chardonnay 2003 and Seals of Approval given to Coopers Brook 2003, Juniper Hill 2004, Surrey Gold 2004 and Yew Tree Pinot 2003.

The results were announced during the recent International Wine & Spirits Fair held at Excel in London Docklands, a three-day exhibition attended by thousands of drinks trade specialists from around the globe.

Greenfields Sparkling Cuvee 2003 is in great demand, particularly in anticipation of English teams' involvement in sporting events during the next few months - Wimbledon, the World Cup, Cricket and Rugby.
